Transpower have lodged an appeal against Porirua City Councils decision to accept Private Plan Change 6, the creation of Judgeford Hills Zone in Pauatahanui. The appeal is one of several expected from submitters who believe the process followed by PCC was unjust, or believe that their concerns have not been adequately addressed.

To date there have been very few requests for change to the Porirua District Plan. This is expected to change over the coming years with many of the plan changes impacting on the Pauatahanui community. We will be following the appeal process to see what can be learnt in preparation for future plan change appeals in an attempt to retain the character and values of Pauatahanui.
