Plan Change 6 looks more likely to go ahead following the publication of the recommendation of the hearings sub-committee. The plan sets a precedent that others will follow in the way the rural landscape is developed.

Opponents of the plan are disapointed and see this as the thin end of the wedge which will allow the rural character to be erroded.

Supporters welcome the opportunity to maximise the revenue potential of their land and are expected to watch this space closely.
